Some contemporary authors named this phenomenon Magia Posthuma. This blog is dedicated to understanding what happened and why.

What manner of man is this?
I decided to have the poster from the Dracula voievod si vampir exhibition in Bucharest in 2010 framed, but now that I have it at home, I must confess that I am not sure that I would like to have this portrait on display in my home...
Is that really a face you would like to look at on a daily basis?

Well, I have a portrait of him (a woodcut bought in Romania) hanging in my living room, and it never put me off. Many people I know similarly have pictures of figurines of various types of monsters, ranging from real to imaginary, displayed in their homes.
